Overview
Automated safe drinking water — without an operator
A Water ATM is a self-service water vending machine that dispenses purified drinking water 24 hours a day without any manual intervention. Unicare's machines use advanced pre-filtration, Reverse Osmosis (RO), and UV sterilisation to meet national drinking water standards — the same engineering rigour we apply to our sewage treatment plant solutions.
Our water ATMs are typically fed by a packaged RO plant or connected to an existing RO supply.
Water ATMs work on a pay-per-use model: the user inserts a coin, taps a smart card, or pays via UPI, and the machine dispenses the exact quantity requested. This makes safe drinking water genuinely affordable and accessible — at public locations where bottled water is expensive or unavailable.
Our units are cloud-connected: water quality, tank level, power status, and every transaction are monitored remotely from a central server. Alerts are sent automatically when tank levels drop or power fluctuates — no on-site operator required for monitoring.

How a Unicare water ATM works
Step 01
Water source intake
Bore well, tap water, or open well water enters the pre-filtration stage. Sediment and carbon filters remove suspended particles and chlorine.
Step 02
RO + UV purification
Reverse Osmosis removes dissolved salts, heavy metals, and biological contaminants. UV sterilisation eliminates remaining bacteria and viruses. Output meets Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) IS 10500 drinking water norms.
Step 03
Storage and smart dispensing
Purified water is stored in a food-grade SS/HDPE tank. The vending controller manages coin acceptance, smart card reading, UPI payment, and dispenses the exact pre-set volume requested by the user. All transactions are logged and synced to the cloud in real time.
Step 04
Remote monitoring and alerts
The machine connects to Unicare's central server via GSM/WiFi. Tank level alerts, low voltage warnings, and tampering alarms are sent automatically. AMC teams can diagnose and respond remotely before issues become outages.
